ICT Police Has Introduced School Chalo Initiative

Islamabad Police have officially started the “School Chalo Campaign” to address students who regularly miss school or college but wander freely throughout public spaces like parks and markets identified by Safe City camera networks as public spaces.

Under Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), an aggressive move is taken with this campaign that targets such students by targeting parks or markets identified as public.

Students were taken back to police stations where they could reunite with their parents. Awais Ahmad of Islamabad Capital Police assured students that Islamabad Capital Police would make all efforts for their future success.

Islamabad police deserve credit for taking proactive steps to identify students who have been absent and redirect their focus back toward education.

This campaign protects youngsters by encouraging them to put their efforts towards academics instead of lying to their parents about anything that comes their way.
