Today’s PSL 7 Points Table has been updated.

In this section, you will learn everything you need to know about the PSL point table 2022 and how each and every match contributes to it. As you are all aware, the points table will be determined by the results of the matches.

Criteria for the PSL 7 Points Table 2022

Play in the PSL is conducted in a double round-robin format. In the group stage, each team will face off against the other teams twice, and the top four teams will advance to the knockout round of the competition. Rules and regulations for the tournament are governed by the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) rules and regulations.

A similar points system to that used in past seasons, as well as any other ICC sanctioned franchise T20 league in the world, has been introduced in the PSL 7 Points Table. The teams with the most points after ten matches in the group stage will be ranked in the order in which they gained those points.

  • During the group stage, the team that accumulates the most points will be placed in first place on the leaderboard.
  • Even if both teams have the same number of points, the team with the greater net run rate will come out on top in the final standings.
  • If the teams’ points totals and net run rates are equal, the team with the highest number of victories in the group stage will finish higher on the standings.
  • If all of the other criteria are equal, the team with fewer losses will finish higher in the standings than the team with more losses.
  • If all of the criteria remain identical, the result of the head-to-head match between the two clubs will determine which team finishes first or second in the league.

Those clubs who finish in the top four spots in the PSL points table will advance to the next round of the competition. For a win, two points are granted, one point is awarded for a tie, and zero points are awarded for a loss. During the first twenty overs of the match, if there is a tie, the winner will be determined by a super over.

If the game goes to a super over, both teams will play one round of cricket, with the team who scores the most runs in that round being declared the winner and receiving two points.

The team that finishes first in the PSL points table in 2022 will face the team that finishes second in the qualifier, and the team that finishes third in the qualifier will face the team that finishes fourth in the first eliminator in the second eliminator.

Later, the victor of this qualifier will advance directly to the final, while the loser of this qualifier will play the winner of this first eliminator in the second eliminator, and so on. Last but not least, the winner of the second eliminator will face off against the victor of the qualifier in the championship match.

If a match is deadlocked after the first round of the playoffs, a super over will be used to determine the winner of the match. In the event that the super over is also tied, the team who finished higher in the group stage will be crowned the victor.
